ABOUT ME
My name is Ayaka Ishimura, I have been a wedding planner in Japan and Hawaii since 2008. Since then I’ve planned over 600 weddings. I am also a licensed Shinto priest and have assisted with numerous traditional Japanese weddings.
In 2015, I started my own business, Ayaka Ishimura Wedding & Design, because what I love most, is working with couples directly and creating their dream events.
I attended a conference for destination wedding planners in 2018, in Mexico. I was very impressed by the scale, flexibility and innovative ideas of western weddings. This inspired me to focus on destination weddings more and to expand the scope of weddings in Japan.
In addition to running my own bussines, I am a dedicated mother to my two young daughters.

We offer wedding planning and coordinating services in Japan.
We plan and coordinate weddings in Japan, Hawaii and wherever your dream destination may be.
We offer a full planning service; after consulting with you to ascertain your specific wants, needs and vision, we will design and create your event.
From securing the venue, planning the ceremony and reception, referring quality vendors, organising the decor, managing the budget and everything in between, we will facilitate it for you.
Japan is well known for its amazing, natural landscape and its beautiful, distinct seasons.
Many flowers, most famously, cherry blossoms, bloom in spring. Fireworks light up the night sky in summer. Red leaves color the mountains crimson in fall/autumn. Japan’s northern regions are home to beautiful, white, snow covered mountains in winter.
Japan has many destinations to offer and we have a great selection of venues for you to choose from.
